It’s no secret that Australian households clock up some scary food waste stats when it comes to how much of our food shop ends its days the bin. Not surprisingly, bread features somewhere near the top of our list of most commonly wasted foods, as diversity in offerings has kept it a favourite staple for Australians, despite the (somewhat misguided) current trend for general gluten avoidance.
